Of penguins and kitty cats...
For TonyaThese were the table decorations for DD's wedding. I got them at the Dollar Tree, removed the scarves and knit hats they were wearing and added a ribbon bowtie for the boys and a veil and necklace for the girls. They're glued to popsicle sticks to give them a little more stability. John calls Sharyn his little penquin, so that's the theme we went with.
The sweet little kitty is Tanya. She was named by my DD Elena, for her best friend in the orphanage in Russia. Tanya usually sleeps behind my knees or against my tummy. (Wiley's not allowed in our room at night because he likes to pounce on toes in the middle of the night!)

We used to try and ban our kitties from the bedroom at night, but Habibi would jump at the doorknob and rattle and thump the door - my hubby was sure there were burglars. Lily scratchs at the door and cries... Most nights the cats are good and don't wake us up, thankfully.
Tanya is a beautiful kitty and lucky that she gets to sleep with you.
